Misconceptions

Wearing beauty on your ‘self’
you came in my view
I wished I were your apparel.

pacing gracefully
you walked down the road
I wished I were your shoe

plucking delicately the flower
you blessed it with your kiss
I wished I were that flower

It chanced upon me to become
your apparel, your shoe and your flower.
but remained so for ever,
your apparel, your shoe and your flower.

craving for the warmth
the fly burnt its wings
you ocular proof! I learnt it now
beauty, grace and love, seldom go together.
